Man hit, killed by 18-wheeler on East Fwy in Northshore area
HOUSTON, TX — A man died Thursday night after a pedestrian crash involving an 18-wheeler on the East Freeway in northeast Houston, according to ABC13.
The fatal incident occurred in the 11800 block of the westbound freeway (Interstate 10) near Federal Road, in the city’s Northshore area.
Few details have been made available, but the Houston Police Department said the male pedestrian was crossing the main westbound lanes when he was hit by the semi-truck.
The driver, who stopped the semi on the right shoulder and alerted authorities, was not suspected of impairment and was later released from the scene.
An investigation into the accident remains ongoing.
