Man killed in Houston pedestrian crash while sitting along Selinsky Road
HOUSTON, TX – A man in his 30s died Friday night after a vehicle hit him while he was sitting on a curb along Selinsky Road in Houston, reports FOX 26 Houston.
Police responded to the scene near 5400 Selinsky Road following reports of a pedestrian accident shortly before 10:30 p.m. Officers reportedly found the victim there with fatal injuries. Authorities pronounced the man dead on the scene.
Police say a bystander had attempted to move the man from the roadway before the collision, since the area had poor lighting. Officials have not released the victim’s name.
Investigators say the motorist remained nearby and was cooperative during the investigation. Police also said they did not notice any signs of intoxication.
