Man on trial for fatal crash on Texas 8 Beltway
HARRIS COUNTY, TX – A man who allegedly killed a deputy constable on the 7200 block of Texas 8 Beltway on April 2, 2023, is on trial, according to ABC 13.
Adolfo Serrano, 36, was reportedly drunk when he crashed his Ford F-550 and slammed into the rear of a patrol car occupied by Deputy Constable Jennifer Chavis around 5:45 p.m.
First responders pronounced Chavis dead at the scene.
Authorities arrested Serrano. He appeared in court Monday morning.
