Motorcyclist dies following crash on Main St in SW Houston
HOUSTON, TX — A single-vehicle motorcycle wreck Monday night in southwest Houston claimed the life of a 58-year-old man, according to the Houston Police Department.
The accident occurred in the 10300 block of Main Street, near U.S. 90 Alt/Old Spanish Trail, at around 10:20 p.m.
Investigators say the man was driving a black Harley Davidson Street Glide motorcycle northbound when, for reasons still unclear, the bike veered out of its lane and hit a curb.
The rider, who was ejected from the motorcycle in the impact, suffered critical injuries. Paramedics with the Houston Fire Department rushed him to Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center, where he later died.
Officials have not reported any other injuries and have not indicated that anyone else was involved.
An investigation by the HPD’s Vehicular Crimes Division remains ongoing.
