Motorcyclist dies following wreck on Texas 99 in northwest Houston

HOUSTON, TX – A motorcyclist died in a single-vehicle collision on the 9200 block of Texas 99 on Thursday, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

The victim was riding a motorcycle at high speeds when they failed to negotiate a curve and crashed into the metal highway cable around 9:45 p.m.

First responders pronounced the motorcyclist dead at the scene.

Officials have not released the motorcyclist’s name.
