Motorcyclist dies month after crash on Hillcroft Ave near SW Houston
FORT BEND COUNTY, TX — A 34-year-old man has died following a motorcycle accident last month on Hillcroft Avenue near southwest Houston, reports the Houston Police Department.
The wreck took place on the 14800 block of the road (Fort Bend Parkway Toll Road) in the Missouri City area on Sunday, July 9, at around 1:25 p.m.
According to the HPD’s Vehicular Crimes Division, the man was operating a maroon Suzuki motorcycle southbound when, for reasons still being investigated, he failed to maintain a single lane. The Suzuki then hit a curb, causing the rider to eject. Authorities said the bike rolled over the victim as it continued traveling.
Paramedics with the Houston Fire Department rushed the victim to Ben Taub Hospital. On August 9, a month later, he was pronounced deceased.
An investigation into the accident remains ongoing.
