Motorcyclist fatally collides with alleged impaired driver in East Houston
HOUSTON, TX – According to Click 2 Houston, a motorcyclist died after they collided with an SUV at Ley Road and Roundhouse Lane Sunday morning.
A driver fell asleep at the wheel of an SUV and stopped in the road around 1 a.m.
The motorcyclist swerved to avoid hitting the SUV. The motorcyclist and their passenger were ejected from the motorcycles.
First responders pronounced the passenger dead at the scene and transported the motorcyclist to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities believe the SUV driver was impaired. He could face intoxication manslaughter charges.
