Motorcyclist killed in crash with car on Katy Fwy at Beltway 8
HARRIS COUNTY, TX — One person lost their life Monday afternoon near west Houston’s Memorial City area following a crash involving a motorcycle, reports Click2Houston.
The accident happened on the westbound lanes on the Katy Freeway (Interstate 10) at Beltway 8. It was first reported by Houston Police at about 1:00 p.m.
Preliminary details show a motorcyclist was involved in a collision with a red Dodge Durango and died as a result. Officials indicated that the rider was pronounced deceased on the scene.
First responders transported the driver of the Durango to an area hospital, where their condition remains undisclosed.
Motorists were warned of delays impacting the area.
