Motorcyclist’s life claimed in crash with Toyota SUV in Humble

HUMBLE, TX – A motorcyclist was killed as a result of a crash involving a Toyota RAV4 SUV in Humble on Monday.

According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, the collision happened around 5 p.m. on the 18000th block of Farm to Market Road.

Deputies said the Toyota driver, identified as Julius Omwanghe, was waiting to turn left from a private driveway and tried to cross the westbound lanes and center turn lane on FM 529, and did not yield to a westbound Yamaha R6 motorcycle and collided with it.

The motorcycle struck the left side of the Toyota, leaving the motorcyclist in critical condition.

EMS transported the biker, later identified as Brayans Diaz Toledo, to a hospital, where he later died.

Deputies confirmed that Omwanghe did not show signs of impairment and cooperated with investigators.
