Multi-vehicle wreck closed part of Beltway 8 WB in north Houston
HOUSTON, TX — Three vehicles were involved in a crash late Monday afternoon on the Beltway 8 in north Houston, according to Houston Transtar.
The accident impacted the westbound beltway at Aldine Westfield Road, in the Northgreen Park area, shortly after 4:02 p.m.
Few details have been released as of this writing, but the left shoulder, right shoulder, left lane, right lane, and both center lanes were blocked as a result of the wreck.
While the closure remained in place for at least 30 minutes following the initial report, authorities have not indicated whether anyone was seriously injured or had to be transported to a hospital.
The cause and nature of the incident remain unclear.
