North Austin crash closes Mopac Expressway on-ramp

AUSTIN, TX – Officials in North Austin were forced to shut down a Mopac Expressway on-ramp for several hours following a collision Monday morning.

According to the Austin – Travis County traffic report page, the incident happened shortly before 12:00 p.m. along the Expressway southbound on-ramp from Farm to Market Road 2222.

Details regarding how many vehicles involved in the collision or if any injuries were sustained as a result have not yet been made available by north Austin police. However, the on-ramp was shut down for several hours and officials are advising motorists to proceed with extreme caution through the area as of Monday night.
