Officer hurt in suspected DUI crash in east Houston
HOUSTON, TX – A police officer was hurt in a DUI collision in east Houston early Sunday morning, according to Click 2 Houston.
The officer had pulled over the driver of a suspected stolen car near Maxey Road and Wood Bayou Drive around 1 a.m.
During the traffic stop, another driver slammed into the officer’s patrol vehicle and hit him in the leg.
First responders transported the officer to an area hospital with minor injuries.
Authorities arrested the driver of the car that hit him.
