One child killed and others injured in Research Boulevard fire
AUSTIN, TX- One child was killed, another child injured, and two adults injured in a fire on Research Boulevard on Thursday morning, according to Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services.
At approximately 4:52am, officials responded to a fire near the 8105 area of Research Boulevard. Nine people were in the structure at the time of the fire. Five were able to escape with no injury, two adults were injured, one child was injured, and one child was pronounced dead at the scene. The cause of the fire has not been identified at this time. The injured victims were transported to Dell Seton Medical Center.
