One dead in crash near South Victory Street and Knox Street

HOUSTON, TX – One person died in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon on South Victory Street near Knox Street in north Houston, reports KTRK.

Investigators say that around 1:15 p.m., a white Dodge pickup was heading west on Victory Street. The truck then reportedly struck a gray Infiniti sedan.

Officials pronounced an occupant of the Infiniti dead at the scene.

Police are still working to identify the factors that led to the crash. Officials are examining whether the Dodge driver may have been intoxicated or speeding at the time of the collision.

The Houston Police Department’s Vehicular Crimes Unit is conducting an investigation into the case.
