One killed in collision involving big rig in Houston

HOUSTON, TX – One person was killed in a collision involving a big rig on Interstate 45 North along Parramatta Lane on Tuesday.

The crash happened around 5 a.m. Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez told ABC13 that a pickup truck was also involved, but did not specify the events that led to the crash. Regardless, the crash seemed serious as officials shut down the northbound lanes for several hours before reopening around 8 a.m.

The collision cleared around 11 a.m., and all lanes of traffic reopened.
