Pasadena officer, two others hurt in multi-vehicle crash
PASADENA, TX – A Pasadena police officer and two drivers were hospitalized after a four-vehicle crash Saturday on Highway 225, reports KTRK.
The collision reportedly happened during a traffic stop in the 300 block of Highway 225. Police say a motorist hit the officer’s marked cruiser from the rear. The impact then triggered additional collisions with other vehicles.
The wreck involved four vehicles total, including the police car. Each vehicle sustained disabling damage and required removal from the roadway.
Medics took the officer and two other motorists to local hospitals. Another driver at the scene refused ambulance transport.
Pasadena police later said the officer left the hospital around 2 a.m. Sunday. The department’s crash reconstruction team continues to examine the collision.
