Passenger dies after driver crashes into trees on Garret Rd
HOUSTON, TX – A passenger died after a driver slammed into multiple trees at 14140 Garret Rdon Monday, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
Aden Smith was driving a black 2007 Honda Accord on Garret Rd at high speeds around 4:10 when he strayed off the road, rotated clockwise, and slammed into a tree. The car bounced off the tree and hit another tree.
First responders transported Smith’s passenger, Courtney Sexton, to an area hospital, where she died at 5:14 p.m.
Authorities do not believe impairment played a role in the collision.
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office Vehicular Crimes Division is investigating the incident.
