Pedestrian critically injured after late-night crash on W 6th St
AUSTIN, TX – A victim was severely injured after being hit by a driver in downtown Austin late Friday night, according to information from Austin-Travis County EMS.

The collision happened in the 700 block of W 6th Street near Rio Grande Street just before midnight, when a driver collided with an adult pedestrian.
The victim was unconscious when authorities arrived at the scene. They were then taken to Dell Seton to receive treatment for critical, life-threatening injuries.
Drivers were told to expect extended traffic delays near the crash scene.
