Pedestrian dies after hit-and-run on Broadway St in SE Houston

HOUSTON, TX — A hit-and-run pedestrian crash Saturday night, December 9, in southeast Houston claimed the life of a 26-year-old man, according to the Houston Police Department.

The incident took place in the 8300 block of Broadway Street, in the Glenbrook Valley area, at around 8:00 p.m.

Investigators say the male pedestrian, who was not in a marked crosswalk, was crossing the street when he was hit by a driver in a black, four-door SUV heading northbound. The driver then left the scene, failing to stop and render aid (FSRA).

The victim, whose identity remains undisclosed, was pronounced deceased at the scene by responding paramedics.
