Pedestrian killed after being hit by pickup truck in San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO, TX – A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a pickup truck in southwest San Antonio Thursday night.

According to My San Antonio, the incident happened within the 3900 block of Southwest Military Drive shortly after 10:00 p.m. The driver of the truck called police to the scene after he struck the man who, was reportedly standing in the middle of the roadway.

Police believe the truck driver did not notice the man standing in the road as he came over the top of a hill.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. No charges have been filed against the truck driver at this time.
