Police investigate fatal crash on TX-225 near Galena Park
HOUSTON, TX – Police are investigating an auto-pedestrian crash that killed a woman early Sunday in southeast Houston, reports KHOU 11.
The accident occurred along TX-225, or the Texas Independence Highway, near Allen Genoa Road. This is south of Kinder Morgan Sims Bayou and east of Charles H. Milby Park.
Police say that a woman exited her car, which was stopped on the side of the highway, and walked into traffic. A car then struck the woman, killing her at the scene.
Authorities have not yet released the name of the victim.
The driver involved in the crash reported the incident to police and stopped at a nearby exit.
A full investigation is underway.
