Police investigate fatal motorcycle crash on Patton Street
HOUSTON, TX – According to the Houston Police Department, a driver struck and killed a motorcyclist on the 300 block of Patton Street on Tuesday.
A 61-year-old man was riding a Moto Guzzi motorcycle east on Patton Street as a 37-year-old woman was driving a gray Honda HR-V west. The Honda driver failed to yield the right of way and turned left into a parking lot. The motorcyclist lost control of the bike and crashed into the Honda around 12:15 a.m.
First responders transported the motorcyclist to an area hospital, where he died.
Authorities determined the Honda driver was not impaired. They questioned and released her.
The HPD’s Vehicular Crimes Division is investigating the incident.
