Sedan passenger killed, rider injured in Houston motorcycle crash
HARRIS COUNTY, TX— A Houston crash killed a sedan passenger and critically injured a motorcyclist Sunday night, reports FOX 26 Houston.
Deputies responded around 10:30 p.m. to the intersection of Stuebner Airline Road and Lyon School Road after reports of a major wreck in northwest Houston.
Investigators say the motorcycle was traveling south on Stuebner Airline Road. A gray Honda with three passengers was traveling north on the same road.
According to authorities, the Honda tried to turn west onto Lyons School Road. The motorcycle then struck the car in a T-bone collision.
Police Lt. R. Berry said the passenger closest to the point of impact died at the scene. Emergency crews took the motorcycle rider to a nearby hospital in critical but stable condition.
Investigators do not believe speed or alcohol caused the crash. The Harris County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the crash and says both drivers are cooperating. Officials have not released the names of anyone involved.
