Suspected drunk driver crashes with HPD car on I-45
HOUSTON, TX- A police officer was hospitalized after a woman rear-ended his vehicle as he responded to a call on I-45 on Jan. 14th.
KTRK reports that the officer responded to a crash involving a passenger vehicle and a semi when the at-fault vehicle crashed into his police vehicle.
The woman, who is suspected of driving while being intoxicated, hit the cop car at 2a.m. near I-45 and the 610 Loop.
She faces a charge for an intoxication assault.
The officer did not have major injuries although he was hospitalized. No one involved in the accident that the officer initially responded to was hurt.
