SUV fatally strikes pedestrian at W Alabama St and Sage Rd

HOUSTON, TX – A vehicle fatally struck a male pedestrian Monday at a busy intersection in west-central Houston, reports Fox 26.

The accident happened at night at West Alabama Street and Sage Road near The Galleria and Williams Tower.

Police aren’t yet sure if the 65-year-old victim was walking in or near the crosswalk when a Chevy Tahoe hit him.

The pedestrian died after transport to an area hospital. His name has not yet been released to the public.

The driver involved in the accident stopped to render aid and to speak with authorities.

No charges have been announced thus far.
