Two children dead, four adults injured in SH 71 crash

LA GRANGE, TX (TRAVIS COUNTY) – Two children are dead and four others are injured following an accident late last night, according to the Twitter account of the Austin-Travis County EMS.

The incident occurred around 10:45 p.m. in the 3800 block of East State Highway 71 Service Road.

Emergency officials performed CPR on the two children at the scene of the accident, where they were later pronounced dead.

Two adults were transported to the hospital with potentially serious injuries.  Two other adults received minor injuries and were not taken to the hospital for treatment.

ATCEMS advised people to avoid the area due to traffic closures for the investigation.

There is no information at this time regarding the identity of the victims or the circumstances of the crash.
