Two-vehicle wreck closes two lanes on I-69 in north Houston

HARRIS COUNTY, TX — Two southbound lanes of Interstate Highway 69 were closed Wednesday afternoon in northeast Houston following a two-vehicle collision, according to Houston Transtar.

The accident impacted the southbound side of I-69 (Eastex Freeway) at East Mt Houston Road and was verified by officials at 1:46 p.m.

Few details have been made available, but the right shoulder, right lane, and center lane were blocked in the immediate aftermath.

Shortly before 3:00 p.m., more than an hour later, crews had cleared the scene from the roadway, restoring all travel lanes to traffic.

No major injuries were immediately reported.
