TxDOT closes westbound Katy Freeway after semi-truck rollover crash

HOUSTON, TX – The Texas Department of Transportation had to shut down the westbound Katy Freeway along Pin Oak Road on Tuesday after a semi-truck rollover crash.

The crash happened before 12:30 p.m. on SR 99 and resulted in a hazmat spill, ABC13 reports.

Crews closed the four right westbound lanes and the right shoulder to accommodate the scene clean-up process for five hours before reopening the area at 5:37 p.m.

No injuries or citations have been reported for the involved occupants.
