TxDOT dispatched to vehicle crash on Houston’s Tomball Pkwy.

HOUSTON, TX – The Texas Department of Transportation was dispatched to the scene of a vehicle crash that happened on the 20500th block of southbound Tomball Parkway on Thursday.

According to Click2Houston, a driver of an unspecified vehicle struck an overpass, causing concrete debris to fall onto the road, acting as a traffic hazard.

TxDOT was summoned to the scene to inspect the integrity of the bridge. During the inspection, crews shut down the southbound lanes to accommodate the on-scene clean-up process.

Delays did follow as a result of the crash, and at the time of the reporting, drivers were asked to pursue alternative routes.

At the time of the reporting, delays and closures were expected to last an hour.

At this time, no injuries or citations have been reported.
