Update: Driver charged in fatal auto-bicycle crash in Galveston

GALVESTON, TX- Galveston Police have identified the driver that struck and killed an elderly cyclist last Sunday morning, reports abc 13.

Aiden Prause of Cypress left the scene in his pickup truck after hitting and fatally injuring 77-year-old Fidel Estrada on his bicycle along 53rd Street near Avenue R.

On Friday, November 21st, Prause turned himself into authorities and now faces a felony charge of leaving the scene of a collision involving injury or death.

Bond for Prause is set at $100,000. His court date has not yet been announced.

The investigation is ongoing.
