Victims IDed in single-vehicle crash on I-10EB near Cheek
JEFFERSON CO., TX – Two adults died Monday morning from injuries sustained in a solo collision along the interstate in central Jefferson County.
According to 12 News Now, the accident occurred on the eastbound side of I-10 near Boyt Road, which is between Cheek and Fannett, about 12 miles southwest of Beaumont and 75 miles northeast of Houston.
Police say that the driver of an eastbound Dodge Charger lost control of his vehicle while changing lanes and crashed into a concrete barrier on the interstate.
Both the driver and a female passenger sustained fatal injuries. Authorities identified the victims as 34-year-old Cameron Gerard and 33-year-old Alexandria Jones.
