Walker Co. crash involving deputy on FM 2296 injures 2

WALKER CO., TX – Two people were hospitalized Tuesday following a multi-vehicle collision involving a police cruiser in Walker County.

According to Fox 26 Houston, the accident occurred on FM 2296 between Phelps and New Waverly and about an hour north of Houston.

Police say that for unknown reasons, a Montgomery County deputy lost control of her vehicle and collided with three other vehicles along FM 2296.

Medics transported a pregnant woman from one of the passenger vehicles to an area hospital.

The deputy was airlifted to a Houston hospital with unspecified injuries.
