Woman dies months after deadly crash on Fannin St

HOUSTON, TX- A woman has died from her injuries sustained in a fatal two-vehicle collision that happened at 2000 Fannin St on Nov. 11, 2023, according to the Houston Police Department.

Christian Herrera, 25, was driving a black Chrysler 300 south on Fannin St at high speeds when he ran a red light and collided with an eastbound black Acura SUV driven by Lauren Robinson, 32, around 2 a.m.

The collision caused three people from the Acura to be ejected from the vehicle. The Chrysler was sent off the roadway and onto the sidewalk, where it hit a pedestrian, Frank Johnson, 31.

Rescue crews pronounced both drivers, Johnson, and another man, Izuchu Oragwu, 31, dead at the scene. They transported Zachary McMillian, 32, and Derek Hayden, 33, to an area hospital, where they died.

Two other passengers from the Acura, a 32-year-old male and a 30-year-old female, were rushed to an area hospital. The man has since been treated and released. Doctors pronounced the woman dead on Monday.

Officials have not released the name of the recently deceased woman.

The HPD Vehicular Crimes Division is investigating the incident.
