Woman hit, killed by car on Veterans Memorial Dr in NW Houston
HOUSTON, TX — A woman died early Wednesday after a pedestrian crash in the Charleston Gardens area of northwest Houston, reports ABC13.
Harris County deputies said the fatal incident occurred in the 9500 block of Veterans Memorial Drive, near Coralmont Road, at around 3:25 a.m.
An early investigation indicates a man was driving a Toyota Camry when the vehicle struck the woman. He told officials he was unable to see the pedestrian prior to the crash because his windshield was fogged, and noted that the road was dimly lit.
At this time, the HCSO said the driver, who was not suspected of intoxication, is not expected to be charged.
No further information has been released at this time.
