Woman hits, kills husband with car on Red Bluff Rd in Pasadena
PASADENA, TX – A 42-year-old man sustained fatal injuries Sunday in an auto-pedestrian crash that happened along a busy roadway in the southeast suburbs.
According to KHOU 11, emergency crews responded to a major accident on Red Bluff Road near Southmore Avenue in Pasadena. This is west of the Sam Houston Tollway and north of East Southmore Park.
Police say that Leonardo Mendoza and his wife, Alina Gonzalez-Morelas, argued on Sunday before Gonzalez-Morelas struck Mendoza on a sidewalk with her black Tahoe. Gonzalez-Morelas then fled the scene without stopping to render aid.
Mendoza died after transport to an area hospital.
Authorities arrested Gonzalez-Morelas; she now faces a possible murder charge in connection to the incident.
The investigation is ongoing.
