Wrong-way driver dies following northwest Houston crash
HOUSTON, TX – According to Click 2 Houston, a wrong-way driver died in a single-vehicle collision near East T.C. Jester Boulevard and Ella Boulevard Monday morning.
A male was driving a Jeep the wrong way on East T.C. Jester Boulevard at high speeds when he lost control of the vehicle and crashed around 2:30 a.m. He was not wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from the vehicle in the wreck.
Officials have not released the driver’s name.
The Houston Police Department’s Vehicular Crimes Division is investigating the collision. They believe speed was a factor in the incident. They do not think the driver was impaired.
