Wrong-way driver fatally collides with another vehicle in north Houston
HOUSTON, TX – According to KHOU, a woman died when a wrong-way driver collided with another vehicle on the Eastex Fwy NB near Aldine Bender Rd on Sunday.
A pickup truck driver was driving south in the northbound lanes when he slammed into an SUV around 3 a.m.
First responders pronounced the woman driving the SUV dead at the scene. They transported two children from the pickup truck, ages 6 and 14, as well as the pickup truck’s driver to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities believe alcohol may have been a factor in the wreck, but that is under investigation.
