Young girl dies after minibike crash in north Harris County

HARRIS COUNTY, TX – A young girl was killed on Friday after a vehicle struck her minibike near Ella Boulevard and Wied Road, reports FOX 26 Houston.

Deputies who responded to the scene say the child was riding a gas-powered minibike just before the collision.

Emergency crews took the girl to a local medical center in critical condition. Officials later confirmed that she had died from her injuries.

Authorities have not shared details about the child’s age or the driver involved in the collision. Officials closed northbound Ella Boulevard to traffic while crews examined the crash site.
