2 injured in collision-turned-pursuit in Houston

HOUSTON, TX – Two people were injured in a collision-turned-pursuit in Houston on Saturday, WFAA said.

The chase lasted 10 minutes, beginning around 6:30 a.m. Montgomery County and ending around 6:40 a.m. south on the North Freeway. The suspect crashed into a civilian vehicle off Veterans Memorial Drive and Fallbrook Drive.

The suspect fled the scene, running into a wooded area.

The civilian’s car overturned, leaving one person with minor injuries.

The passenger in the suspect’s vehicle was also injured and taken to a hospital. On a similar note, an ICE agent was also injured after trying to break the suspect’s window at a different location.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office Major Blendermann said deputies searched the wooded area, along with their K-9, but ultimately lost the suspect’s scent, ending the search.

Deputies know who the suspect is but have not released his information.
