3-vehicle crash at Alabama, Almeda injures police officers
HOUSTON, TX – A T-bone collision at a busy intersection in the Midtown area injured two Houston police officers Friday afternoon, reports Click 2 Houston.
The injury crash happened around 2:30 p.m. at Alabama Street and Almeda Road, which is north of US-69 and west of the South Freeway.
Police say that a vehicle struck a police cruiser in the intersection, causing it to flip over and land on a third vehicle. The officers involved in the accident were responding to an emergency call at the time of the crash.
Medics transported two officers from the squad car to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
No other injuries have been reported in connection to the wreck.
