EMS crews respond to hit-and-run on Bellfort Ave in SW Houston
HOUSTON, TX — A hit-and-run collision was reported early Monday afternoon in southwest Houston’s Westbury area, according to the City of Houston Active Incidents page.
The incident unfolded at 5101 West Bellfort Avenue, at the intersection with Willowbend Boulevard. Houston police, firefighters, and EMS personnel responded to the scene shortly after 12:52 p.m.
Very few details have been shared, but police dispatchers indicated a “major” collision in which at least one party failed to stop and render aid (“FSDA”).
Authorities also listed the incident as an “EMS event,” suggesting injuries, but local agencies have not disclosed any information on the conditions of those involved.
As of this writing, the Houston Police Department has not released a description of the fleeing vehicle and/or suspect.
