HPD, HFD responds to major crash on Ruiz St in downtown Houston
HOUSTON, TX — Authorities were dispatched to a vehicle wreck Friday afternoon near the Interstate 69 and Interstate 10 exit ramps in downtown Houston, according to the City of Houston Active Incidents page.
The accident was reported at 1701 Ruiz Street and prompted a response from Houston Police and Houston Fire Department crews shortly after 3:08 p.m.
Although neither agency has shared any information about the circumstances or the parties involved, dispatchers indicated a “major” but “non fatal” collision.
It was not immediately apparent whether anyone was injured or had to be taken to a hospital.
