Driver found deceased vehicle crashes into NW Houston bayou
HOUSTON, TX — A single-car wreck early last Sunday near Houston’s White Oak Bend area appears to have claimed the life of a a driver, reports the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
Harris County Sheriff’s Office District 5 unites responded to the scene in the 9800 block of Jones Road at around 5:00 a.m.
While an investigation into the incident remains underway, officials arrived to find the victim deceased inside a vehicle that was partially submerged in a bayou.
Authorities say preliminary details indicate the man intentionally drove his car off the roadway and into the body of water.
The HCSO’s Vehicular Crimes Division continues to investigate.
