Motorcyclist dies following multi-vehicle crash on FM 1960 Rd W
HOUSTON, TX – A motorcyclist died in a multi-vehicle collision on the 5000 block of FM 1960 RD W on Tuesday, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
Alex Harris was riding a Kawasaki ZX-6 motorcycle west on FM 1960 Rd W when he tried to change lanes and hit the front left part of a Toyota Rav 4 operated by a Hispanic male around 6:59 p.m.
The collision sent the motorcycle into the center median. Harris was ejected from the bike and landed in the middle eastbound lane. A Toyota Highlander driver then hit Harris.
Rescue crews pronounced Harris dead at the scene.
Authorities do not believe impairment was a factor in the incident.
All drivers cooperated with law enforcement.
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office Vehicular Crimes Division is investigating the incident.
