Driver fatally collides with pedestrian on Veterans Memorial Dr
HOUSTON, TX – A driver struck and killed a male pedestrian on the 10500 block of Veterans Memorial Dr on Sunday, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
Nestor Edilberto Carranza was driving a white 2020 Ford F-150 on northbound Veterans Memorial Drive when he hit a man in the roadway around 5:58 a.m.
Rescue crews transported the victim to an area hospital, where he died around 6:43 a.m.
Following the collision, Carranza stayed at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
Investigators determined Carranza was not impaired.
Officials have not released the victim’s name.
