Hit-and-run driver fatally collides with another vehicle near Cliff Tuttle Park
HOUSTON, TX – According to KHOU, a hit-and-run driver was involved in a deadly collision on I-10 near Kress St on Sunday.
A rideshare driver stopped around 4 a.m. after he ran over something in the road and damaged his car. He pulled over onto what he thought was the shoulder, but it was actually one of the main lanes.
The rideshare driver exited the vehicle and was looking over it when the driver of a dark-colored truck slammed into his car and pushed it on top of him.
Rescue crews pronounced the rideshare driver dead at the scene. The backseat passenger was not hurt in the crash.
Following the collision, the driver of the dark-colored truck fled the scene.
The Houston Police Department is investigating the incident.
