Alleged impaired driver dies after colliding with another vehicle near Woodland Pines
HUMBLE, TX – According to KHOU, a suspected impaired driver died after he struck another vehicle driven by an Uber driver with a family inside at Atascocita Rd and Wilson Rd on Tuesday.
A 35-year-old man was driving at high speeds when he ran a red light around 1 a.m. and hit another vehicle driven by a 41-year-old Uber driver with a family of five inside.
The 35-year-old man died in the collision. Rescue crews transported the occupants of the other vehicle to an area hospital with minor injuries.
Authorities believe the 35-year-old driver was under the influence. They found an open beer can in his lap.
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident.
