Police investigate deadly wreck in Memorial Park
HOUSTON, TX – A female driver died after she collided with a commercial truck on the Memorial Drive tunnels under the Kinder Land Bridge on Wednesday, according to KTRK.
The woman was driving at high speeds when she hit the rear of a commercial truck stopped in the tunnels around 11:30 p.m.
Rescue crews pronounced the woman dead at the scene. The commercial truck driver was not inside their vehicle during the crash.
Officers are searching for surveillance video to help determine what caused the collision and are also investigating why the truck was stopped.
Authorities do not expect to file charges for the incident.
