Driver crashes into school bus near Freed Park
HOUSTON, TX – One student was hurt when a driver hit a school bus at Silber Rd and Westview Dr on Thursday, according to KHOU.
Six students between the ages of 11 and 17 were on the bus during the collision.
The bus driver was heading east on Westview Dr when a driver heading south collided with them around 3:50 p.m. The collision caused the bus to hit a light pole and strike a curb before flipping onto its side.
Following the wreck, the students exited the bus through the rear emergency door.
One student suffered a wrist injury.
Rescue crews transported the car driver to an area hospital. It is unclear how badly she was hurt.
