HPD investigates fatal hit-and-run collision in SW Houston

HOUSTON, TX – A woman in her 30s died Friday morning following a hit-and-run pedestrian crash in Houston’s Mid-West area, according to the Houston Police Department.

The incident unfolded in the 9200 block of Westpark Drive, at around 6:50 a.m.

Investigators with the HPD’s Vehicular Crimes Division said the woman, whose identity has not been made public, appears to have been jogging westbound along the right shoulder of the road. At one point, she was struck by a driver in an unknown vehicle who failed to stop and render aid.
